Lemon Tart - Free Crochet Pattern

 Lemon Tart

Materials

* Paintbox Yarns Cotton Aran in: Light Caramel, Daffodil Yellow, Buttercup Yellow, and Paper White

* Crochet hook size G and E

* Yarn Needle

* Stitch marker

Tart Crust

With Light Caramel and crochet hook G, form an adjustable ring, chain 1.

Round 1: 6 sc into magic ring (6)

Round 2: Inc in each stitch around (12)

Round 3: [Sc, Inc] 6 times (18)

Round 4: [2 sc,inc] 6 times (24)

Round 5: 1 sc, inc, [3 sc, inc] 4 times , 2 sc (30)

Round 6: In BLO, sc in each st around (30)

Rounds 7+8: Sc in each st around (30)

Sl st into first sc and then fasten off and weave in ends.

Tart Filling

With Banana Cream and crochet hook G, form an adjustable ring, chain 1.

Round 1: 6 sc into magic ring (6)

Round 2: Inc in each stitch around (12)

Round 3: [Sc, Inc] 6 times (18)

Round 4: [2 sc,inc] 6 times (24)

Round 5: 1 sc, inc, [3 sc, inc] 4 times , 2 sc (30)

Round 6: Sc in each st around (30)

Round 7: 1 sc, inc, [3 sc, inc] 4 times, 2 sc (24)

Round 8: [2 sc, dec] (18)

Round 9: [sc, dec] (12)

Round 10: dec 6 times (6)

Fasten off. Thread the ending tail onto the needle, insert the needle thru the front loop of each stitch around the opening and pull tight to close hole. Weave in ends.

Lemon Slice 

Starting with Paper White make an adjustable ring, ch 1

Round 1: 6 sc into mr (6)

Switch to Buttercup Yellow

Round 2: Inc in each stitch around

Round 3: [sc,inc] 6 times (18)

Switch to Paper White 

Round 4: sc, inc, *2 sc, inc* 5 times, sc (24)

Switch to Buttercup Yellow (Don't cut white)

Round 5: [3 sc, inc] 6 times (30)

Do not cut the yarn. With the white yarn and the yarn needle stitch 6 segment lines.

Assembly

Fold the circle in half so that the wrong sides are facing. Then with the same yarn used to crochet round 5,sl st in both stitches of round 5 of the lemon to join the two sides together. Finish off and weave in ends. Attach lemon to tart filling.
